Randy's Pro Landscaping performed an exceptional job pruning all of the oak trees in my yard. I have a large backyard and it looks amazing. His team did an unbelievable job not only in the actual pruning but in the prep before and the cleanup after. Stump Grinding & Removal

Stumps are dangerous to keep in your yard, especially if you have kids. Removing them will not only make it safer, but also improve the appearance of your yard. The most common and cost-effective stump removal method is to grind them using a stump grinder. Stumps can also be removed by excavating them. Regardless of whichever stump removal procedure you decide, Randy’s takes care of calling 811 for your utilities to be marked out before the day of the job. This will prevent breaking any pipes that may run through your stump.

Emergency Tree Response

Every season can bring unpredictable weather in Clinton. Storms, rain, wind, ice and snow all cause damage and stress to the trees on your property. This results in branches falling, trees splitting, or even uprooting. During this unfortunate and stressful time, you can rely on Randy’s to quickly respond to your emergency.

My tree came down due Isaias. Randy was very responsive. He had his team remove the fallen tree in 2 days. They did an excellent job with the removal an cleaned up very well after job. I would highly recommend them.

2. Randy’s Pro will visit your property and listen to your concerns or requests and assess the situation.
3. We will provide you with an estimate via email that outlines everything that will be included in your tree job. 
4. When you are ready to begin, Randy’s will schedule a start date at your convenience and provide you with an estimated completion date.

Clinton Tree Ordinances & Permit Process

• According to the town’s ordinance Chapter 130, Section 1, there are permits required for certain acts:
  • No person shall do or cause to be done any of the following acts affecting the trees, plants, shrubbery or other ornamental flora planted or growing naturally within the highways or public places under the jurisdiction of the town, except with a written permit first obtained from the Shade Tree Commission:
    • A. Cut, trim, break, disturb the roots of or spray with chemicals any living tree or shrub; or injure, misuse or remove any structure or device placed to support or protect any tree or shrub.
    • B. Plant or remove any living tree or shrub, or climb with spikes any living tree or shrub.
    • C. Fasten any rope, wire, electric attachments, sign or other device to a tree or shrub or to any guard about such tree or shrub.
    • D. Close or obstruct any open space provided about the base of a tree or shrub to permit the access of air, water or fertilizer to the roots thereof.
    • E. Pile any building material or make any mortar or cement within six feet of a tree or shrub.
    • F. Change the grade of the soil within the limits of the lateral spread of the branches of any such tree.

• According to the town’s website as to Tree Maintenance and Removal:
  • Chapter 130, Section 7: Trees and Shrubs,
    • “All trees and shrubs along any public highway, public sidewalk, public right-of-way, public structure or any easement dedicated to the Town of Clinton for sight visibility or other public purposes shall be maintained by the owner of the property on which the trees or shrubs are located; provided, however, that the Town may cause such trees and shrubs to be trimmed or removed as part of any ongoing program of tree and shrub maintenance in any area of the Town where such program is being conducted for the health, safety, economy or general welfare of the Town.”
  • This section of the ordinance shows that the property owner is responsible for the maintenance of all trees located within the public ROW unless, at their discretion, the Town should choose to undertake the trimming and/or removal of a particular tree.
  • Please note that pursuant to Chapter 4, Section 19, the authority to undertake discretionary trimming/removal of trees falls to the Town’s Shade Tree Commission.

• The town established the Town of Clinton Shade Tree Commission:
  • The Commission oversees the care, maintenance, and planting of trees in the public right of- way, but they also need the residents to help identify tree issues.
  • The public right-of-way refers to the area between a curb and sidewalk or within five or six feet of the street, if there is no sidewalk.
